Jacquard SolarFast™ Starter Kit – Sun-Powered Printmaking

Harness sunlight to make photographic prints, photograms, and shadow-prints on fabric or paper—fast. The SolarFast™ Starter Kit includes everything you need to start (just add your own fabric or artist paper). Paint SolarFast on your surface, place objects or a film negative, expose to sun/UV for minutes, and rinse. The dyes develop color and become permanent only in light, leaving fabric soft to the touch and paper unchanged in texture—ideal for mixed-media.

Great for: first-time users, kids (with supervision), photographers, printmakers, quilters, teachers, and makers of all kinds.
Yield: up to 8 T-shirts or several dozen paper prints (depending on design/coverage).

How It Works (Quick)

1. Coat fabric/paper with SolarFast using a brush/sponge/brayer.
2. While damp, arrange objects or a film negative on top.
3. Expose to sunlight/UV (minutes; check guide for timing).
4. Rinse/Wash: remove undeveloped dye (use SolarFast Wash on fabric).
5. Dry. Your print is permanent, washable & lightfast.
