The Invisible Foundation of Professional Silk Painting
H. Dupont Colourless Serti (Gutta) is an essential outlining medium used in silk painting to prevent colours from running and spreading across the fabric. Without gutta, precise silk work is simply not possible.
This colourless formulation allows artists to outline areas of colour without leaving visible marks, making it ideal for clean, refined, and professional results. Once applied, it dries quickly and forms a watertight barrier that controls dye or paint flow.
The gutta is odour-free and solvent-free, ensuring a comfortable studio experience. After colour fixing, it can be completely removed using Essence F thinner, leaving the artwork visually clean while preserving colour accuracy.
Note: A slight residue may remain on silk after fixing and before removal.
